Translations For Necrophilia

Ed Gein - Our Posthumous Founder

How Can We All Help To Advance the Cause Of Necrophilia ?

I jotted down a few ways that we can help to advance our cause.  So far, I have done all of the tactics listed below.   Please share any opinions you have on this topic and how we can better assist our cause.

* Literature distribution  (Fliers and/or business cards.  I've done this at libraries and heavy metal shows.)
* Visitation at funeral homes/wakes during business hours (This, of course, is perfectly legal)
* Paper publication  (I published 'The NecroErotic' from 1995 - 2002)
* Website/message boards  (The NecroErotic has been online since 1998 in one form or another)
* Telephone hotline (This was a complete failure but at least now I know it does NOT work in this day and age)
* Posting on other sites/boards  (vampirefreaks.com, MySpace, misc. blogs, other sex sites, etc.)
* Public picketing  (Very briefly in the Detroit area twice and New York city once.  Each picket only lasted
several minutes and consisted of myself and a photographer.  If nothing else, they provided a good
     photo opportunity.
* Book/cd publishing  (I was never able to get a book published, but I self published a cd that contained
all 15 issues of the NecroErotic paper 'zine)
* Making pilgrimages to famous/unholy sites (I've visited Ed Gein's home town as well as the graveyards
frequented by Sergeant Bertrand and Henri Blot)
* Meeting the surviving founders  (I met Arthur Shawcross several times while he was alive.  Nico Claux
and I also hung out for a week in Paris several years ago.  I attempted to make contact w/ both
Karen Greenlee and Dennis Nilsen in the past to no avail.  Sadly, Sergeant Francois Bertrand, Henri
Blot, Viktor Ardison, Edward Gein, Jeff Dahmer, Count Carl von Cosel and Arthur Shawcross have all
     passed on at this point.)
* You Tube video channel broadcasting (NEWS11292008 began on the indicated date on You Tube)
* An online convention (Our first convention was held on 12/13/2008)

                              Connecting the Dots  (10/4/2008)

Although this site and the paper 'zine that preceded it covers nearly every imaginable aspect of necrophilia, it occurred to me recently that the goals, philosophy and logical reasoning behind the NecroErotic Mission have never been concisely summed up in one article. The purpose of this piece is to briefly explain the core beliefs of the Mission and put them into a logical, easy to follow order. The articles referred to in this essay can be referenced in the 'Articles1' section of this website.

One of the core points of the NecroErotic Mission is that necrophilia, far from being an 'anti social' or 'sick' act is, in and of itself, a positive and benevolent action that can benefit society in many ways so long as it is carried out in the proper context. To briefly recap the positive attributes of necrophilia:

* A person harboring pent up aggression could harmlessly take

out their rage on a corpse rather than an actual living person.

* People of all ages could enjoy erotic pleasure without fear of

pregnancy, disease or rejection via an encounter with an embalmed

and sanitized cadaver.

* Those who prefer 'under aged' partners could have sex with the corpses of

'minors' who died in accidents or from suicide.

* Funeral expenses would be alleviated by allowing people to sell their

loved one's cadavers to necrophiles.

* Necrophilic brothels would create clerical jobs and generate tax revenue

in the communities hosting them.

* Cannibals, Satanists/Occult practitioners and Vampires could enjoy the

benefits of legalized delicacies and bone sales.

* Loneliness and perceived isolation could be at least partially assuaged by

allowing people to have physical contact with cadavers.

Pointing in particular to the first and last points above, it can be argued that bottled up anger and hatred along with feelings of being alone and unwanted are two of the leading causes of the break down of social order and society in general. If indeed the practice of necrophilia could help to diminish these twin evils, we all would be better off in the long run.

Once the above ideas are accepted, it then becomes apparent that any obstacles to legalized, orderly necrophilic practices are to be considered anathema to the public good. Likewise, the promotion of positive attitudes toward necrophilia is something to be lauded. It also follows that we should pay due respect and tribute to those who have furthered the cause of necrophilia through their actions and/or writings on the subject. The argument that we cannot or should not praise admitted murderers (such as Ed Gein and Jeff Dahmer) seems reasonable at first, however it falls flat upon closer inspection. It is entirely possible to commend a person for their positive actions while at the same time disavowing the negative aspects of their lives. We name cities, universities and an entire state for General and President George Washington. The founder of our nation was a slaveholder, yet no one seriously believes these tributes to him translate into an endorsement of the institution of slavery. In that same spirit, while we condemn the evil deeds perpetrated by certain necrophiles, we should not condemn the act of necrophilia in the process. That would be, as the old phrase dictates, like throwing the baby out with the bath water.

Those who partake in necrophilia and related acts (i.e., grave robbery, organ harvesting, bone collecting and pseudonecrophilic role play) are essentially committing acts of insurrection against the unfair and counterproductive ‘morality’ that prevails in today's world. It needs to be hastily added, however, that practice need not follow theory in this instance. Law breaking is not encouraged at any level on the NecroErotic site. This will be elaborated on further in this essay.

It also follows that if we accept that notion that necrophilia can have a positive impact on the lives of individuals and society at large, we owe it to ourselves to learn more about the subject at hand. The NecroErotic website is loaded with contemporary facts and news items, references to books and articles concerning necrophilia as well as historical quotes and opinion pieces. Readers are also strongly encouraged to attend at least one funeral or wake in their life time to view the dead first hand. There is nothing illegal, 'risky' or disruptive about this practice so long as it is done during public viewing times and the person attending merely observes the service.

People reading this are perfectly justified in responding with the phrase, "But necrophilia is considered to be a psychological disorder of the mind! It's not normal!" To this, I can only answer that: #1. Homosexuality was also considered by 'respected' mental health professionals to be a 'disorder' until the early 1970's, yet one would be hard pressed to find a 'reputable' psychiatrist, psychologist or social worker who would cling to those beliefs in 2008. #2. Free spirited and enlightened pioneers in any society are seldom considered 'normal' during their life times and are, in fact, often persecuted for their beliefs and/or actions (as are necrophiles in today's repressed society)

I have also been asked why I would 'bother' being the spokesperson for a sexual interest that is considered abhorrent and revolting by the vast majority of the world's population. The reasons (as explained in greater detail in the essay, "Anatomy of a Sexual Psychosis - or, Why I Do What I Do") can be summed up in three sentences:

* Like anyone else, I seek to find others who share my interests and

tastes.

* The facts as outlined above NEED to be available to the world's

population should they desire to expand their horizons

* Necrophobes and other sexual puritans are quite vocal in their own

opinions. There is no reason why I should not be given

equal time to present the other side of the story.

Lastly, it needs to be added that I in no way, shape or form encourage ANYONE to break the laws of their area! Before any arguments, philosophies, facts or opinions are even presented in the NecroErotic website, the reader is confronted by the following statement on the homepage:

"Important Notice!! : Nothing on this website is to be construed as encouraging the reader to commit a crime, violent or otherwise. The ideas contained herein are mere reflections of my inner thoughts, opinions on how the world ought to be and/or accounts of my life's experiences. If you choose to break the law (for better or worse) it is your decision alone!" If there is any clearer way to alert readers that this is a legitimate website that does not encourage criminality in any form, I would like to hear it!

I've done my best in this relatively brief article to capsulize the essential elements of the NecroErotic Mission and to present the logical arguments for the same in a step by step format. It is my sincere hope that adherents, detractors and neutral observers alike have gained a better understanding of this Mission in particular and necrophilia in general after reading it. Thank you for your time!

Ghoulish Greetings! General Introduction...

Ghoulish Greetings!

Important Notice!!:   Nothing on this website is to be construed as encouraging the reader to commit a crime, violent or otherwise. The ideas contained herein are mere reflections of my inner thoughts, opinions on how the world ought to be and/or accounts of my life's experiences. If you choose to break the law (for better or worse) it is your decision alone!

Is this ecstasy or madness ? This question was first posed inthe Summer of 1995, when issue #1 of 'The NecroErotic' was unleashed on the unsuspectingand repressive society in which we live. Unashamed and uninhibited, the official motto of this publication was and still is: "For All Those Who Find Sexual Lust In Cadavers." From the beginning days, I had no doubt that this philosophy would be anathema to all but perhaps 1% of the world's population. This is all well and good, as I had no intention then and have no intention now of even attempting to educate or relate to the remaining 99% of the ignorant and disposable mammals known collectively as 'the human race.'

Most of the articles contained herein were taken from various back issues of 'The NecroErotic.' Some have been edited and slightly altered, but the tone remains every bit as irreverent and culturally blasphemous as before.

Proceed cautiously, dear reader, for the truths you are about to encounter are unorthodox, shocking and downright appalling to the senses of most people. Fair warning: From this point on, the literary road travelled will be one of midnight morgue visits, violated graves, darkened funeral chapels and 'twisted minds that wallow in evil lust.' (As some might say....) Welcome, ye intellectually bold persons, to the concept of sexual intercourse with the dead!

A Necrophilic Invocation of Lustful Passions

A Necrophilic Invocation of Lustful Passions

May the graves be unearthed to satisfy our lustful passions!

Let the seals of the mausoleums be broken to sate our desires!

Leave unlocked the morgue doors at night, that we may consummate our mad indulgences under the cloak of darkness!

The autopsy table shall serve as our sexual alter, the nude, stiff corpse as our unfeeling counterpart and our orgasms as a release of the pulse-pounding hormonal energies that course through our veins!

It is the grandest wish, that our necrophilic sensuality will one day be freely expressed and practiced, without fear of legal consequences, social ostracism or persecution from haughty, false moralists!

May the forces of nature and societal change speed the day when our carnal thoughts can be brought to physical reality throughout this world and eventually beyond!

SUPREME NECROEROTIC DEDICATION

SUPREME NECROEROTIC DEDICATION

As with the founding of astronomy, your innovations were scorned by the orthodox minds of your time. In kinship with the great Greek and Roman sculptors, your works of art have been physically desecrated by the puritan- ical powers that be. It was in a humble manger in the city of Nazareth some 1,906 years prior to your birth that the protagonist of a world shaping doctrine is said to have been born. The authors who sought to propagate his teachings compiled them in the form of a bible. Your morbidly inventive genius was brought to fruitation in the darkened rooms of a Plainfield, Wisconsin farmhouse in the United States of America. May this tome serve as the agent that codifies your own ideas into a belief system for all future generations. Ed Gein, your wisdom shines through the ages as a guiding beacon for free, strong and daring souls the world over! Hail Ed Gein!! Viva Necrophilia!!-

Eternal Thanks

Eternal Thanks

I would like to offer posthumous/belated thanks to one of the finest women I have ever known: Stephanie (R.I.P.) On October 25, 1995, fate condemned Steph to death at age 18 in the form of an auto accident. The vehicle she was riding in struck a telephone pole, sending her through the windshield. A bold and honest lass, Steph made no secret of her desire to fuck (not 'make love', as tender hearted souls refer to it), nor did she hide her sexual fantasies from me. These scenarios always involved blood drinking, cannibalism, necrophilia, homicide, pedophilia, rape or any combination of the above. Although the two of us never met in person, we kept in regular touch from my home in Michigan and her home in New Jersey. If I live to 120, make one hundred new friends or have 1,000 sex partners during my life, I shall never forget the cherished moments we spent with each other on the phone and through our letters. I've lost dear friends and family many times over, both before and after Stephanie's death, yet none hit quite so deeply as the loss her death has caused.

Stephanie Explained

Readers have asked about Stephanie, a young New Jersey female often praised in these pages, and how she became such an important part of my life. What follows is a brief summary of our 'relationship' and what Steph meant to me.

I received a response from her in regards to a pen pal ad I had placed in Metal Edge magazine around the Summer of 1993. She informed me that she was a 17 year old (I later found that she had added about 1 year to her age at that time....) Satanist and that Deicide (a band I listed in the ad as one of my favorites) was her favorite group. Throughout the next two and a half (or so) years, she and I exchanged letters and phone calls concerning topics such as death metal, true crime, necrophilic/cannibalistic sex, intoxication and porn, all topics near and dear to us both.

We began to confide in each other increasingly, and moving in together at some point in the future was looking like a definite possibility. Towards the end of our relationship, I sent her copies of the first 2 issues of 'The NecroErotic' ; she considered it one of the best 'zines around. The final letter from her (around the beginning of October, 1995) ended with these words: "Do you still have those dreams about me ? Some day, they won't just be dreams." I sent a reply, then around mid-October, I sent her a Sweetest Day gift (namely, the "Answer Me!" issues #1-3 compilation, a book full of serial killer histories and corpse photos. I am certain that she enjoyed and appreciated this gesture Like myself, Steph had a HEALTHY Sex Drive, not a repressed 'normal sex drive')

Because she and I were both working extended hours at that time, losing touch for brief periods of time was not uncommon; however, when I did not hear from her by late October, I phoned her home. Her mother merely informed me that she "wasn't around anymore", and would volunteer nothing further except to tell me it would "make no sense to call here anymore." Assuming that she had moved out, I then telephoned her workplace for further information. A very somber sounding voice informed me: "She doesn't work here anymore." A began to suspect the worst, but still wondered if perhaps she had been arrested (Stephanie could display quite a violent temper at times; also, she was engaged in a small time financial scam). Eventually, my mother called her (former) workplace and got the full story: On October 25, Steph had been killed in a motor vehicle accident.

The news hit me harder than any other tragedy has before or since. Chest pains and bursts of bitter tears were my conpanions that night. Suicidal thoughts and feelings of guilt and anger consumed me. Why had I just taken her for granted, presuming that she would always 'be there' for me ? Why was her mother so spiteful as to not even inform me of her daughter's death the day I called ? Those who say that, having never met face to face, Steph and I could not have been a couple are patently wrong, and those who say they "know" how I feel are equally mistaken (if well intentioned). Those readers who see me as a person capable only of "hate" and "pornographic filth" should realize this point: I loved Stephanie dearly, and the guilt I will forever feel for not traveling to New Jersey while she was alive tears at me worse than any cheap shots my detractors have ever (and could ever) aim at me.

She was my confident, my black winged angel, my Madame Sade and the woman I am sure would have wound up becoming my wife. If I had just one wish in the world, it would be to bring her back to life; barring that, my wish would be to travel back in time to the night of October 25, 1995, and perish with her in the untimely wreck that claimed her life.

"Are you ready to go ?"

"Yes, Steph. I made sure I talked to all of my close family members and friends one last time, earlier today. Just let me finish this last beer..."

"Are you sure this is what you want ?"

"Yeah..."

"You're ready to give it all up, leave it all behind ?"

"Yes...well, I mean, I wish like hell that there was another way. Living together would be preferable to dying together, but if doing what we're about to do is the only way we can be together, then....let's do it."

"All right then."

"Steph....?"

"Yeah ?"

"Did it....was it painful, or....?"

"No.....I had a moment of panic, just before we hit the pole, but the my death was instantaneous."

"But....I still don't get it. I don't buy into that whole spiritualist/life after death claptrap. You're not a ghost, you're..."

"At this point, I'm real flesh and blood, alive again for all to see. I died at exactly 9:40 p.m. on October 25, 1995, and time will catch up with me at 9:40 tonight. 19 minutes from now, my currently live body will revert once again to a corpse which has been dead for five years." "So we'll both cease to exist at 9:40 p.m. tonight ." "Unless you choose not to accompany me. You still can back out, you know. "

"No, no, I'm sure I want to do this, Steph. 5 years without you has been time enough."

"Well then, we really do need to get going. Do you have your keys ?"

"Yes.... the passenger door is open. I'll be right there..."

Fatal Accident Follows Grave Robbery

A Michigan man was killed in a one car automobile accident at 9:40 p.m. last night. Police who arrived on the scene found this man dead at the wheel after his car had struck a utility pole along Hooper Avenue. The decomposing corpse of a young woman was also found in the car. Authorities believe the remains found at the scene are the same as those removed from a grave in Ocean County Memorial Park the night before, but have not yet released the deceased's name pending family notification. An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the accident

Female Necrophilia

Female Necrophilia

By MichiganGhoul, the Minister of Necrophilia

The popularity and practice of any given erotic act is difficult to gauge due to the private nature of the act itself. This shroud of secrecy is even thicker when the act in question is 1. Illegal, 2. Taboo 3. Considered loathsome by 'mainstream' society. Being both '2' and '3' in all locations and '1' in many others, necrophilia qualifies as one of the most clandestine erotic acts that one can imagine.

Arriving at an accurate figure as to how many necrophiles and would-be necrophiles exist in the world at any given time is essentially impossible since persons so inclined are oftentimes afflicted with such extreme guilt and denial over their 'abnormal' drives that even the admission of these desires in their own conscious mind is repressed.* This excessive secrecy and denial has resulted in an almost total lack of understanding (much less sympathy) towards persons who harbor necrophilic thoughts and/or engage in like minded actions. There are people (both professionals and lay persons alike) who believe that necrophilia is a desire limited exclusively to the male gender. Speaking as someone who has not only read literally dozens of articles and books on necrophilia and practitioneers thereof but has also been contacted by no fewer than 7 female necrophiles, I can assure you that this theory is patently false. This article is dedicated to those ladies and their hitherto largely unrecognized sexuality.

Beyond any doubt, the most famous of all female necrophiles was Karen Greenlee, a young California embalming apprentice. Anyone of the opinion that a woman who practices necrophilia must be physically repulsive would find themselves humbled when confronted with a photo of this attractive woman. What follows is a tribute I wrote concerning Ms. Greenlee in the Winter 1997 issue of 'The NecroErotic.' Karen Greenlee is perhaps the third most famous necrophile of the 20th century. (just behind Ed Gein and Jeff Dahmer), so failing to include her contributions in this essay would be a serious omission. (or, if you have a liking for literary puns, a GRAVE omission)

Just prior to Xmas of 1979, K.G. was apprehended for the theft of the corpse of 33 year old John Mercure. Eleven days of jail time and a $255.00 fine later, Karen was released a free woman. The only 'crimes' the prosecutor was able to charge her with were interfering with a legal burial and illegal use of a hearse; necrophilia was not against the law, in and of itself. Several months later, during a civil lawsuit filed by Mercure's mother, it was learned (through Karen's own testimony, as well as by the reading of a letter she had written prior to a failed suicide attempt.) that she had engaged in sexual contact with anywhere from twenty to forty male cadavers during her stint as an embalmer's apprentice at Memorial Lawn Mortuary in Sacramento, CA. During the time period surrounding the trial, Karen went through stages of suicidal thought, guilt, self hatred, doubt and revulsion over her deeds. Happily, by the mid 1980's she had become a self-aware, self-accepting necrophile. In an interview (published in the book, 'Apocalypse Culture') entitled, 'The Unrepentant Necrophile', she comes across as a confident and strong young woman. In the final paragraph of that piece, her statements, "I realized necrophilia made sense for me...I used to go from the therapist's office to the funeral home. It didn't work, folks!" serve as testimony that a good necrophile can't be kept down. Best of luck to you, Karen, wherever you are today!

Since the time that article was written, the movie 'Kissed' has been released. Names were changed and scenarios added, however the writers and directors clearly had Karen Greenlee in mind insofar as the main aspects of the film are concerned. Although the eroticism portrayed therein is mostly of the 'softcore' variety, the scene wherein the lead character strips down and mounts a cadaver in the embalming room is incredibly arousing. This film is recommended to anyone drawn to or curious about necrophilia in general and Ms. Greenlee in particular. Not so obviously based on the Greenlee case are the German made films 'Nekromantik' parts 1 and 2. If 'Kissed' dealt with necrophilia as a romantic, gentle fetish, the 'Nekromantik' films portrayed sex with the dead as being a decidedly lustful and at times slimy, bloody affair (and who can argue with that ?) Highlights include realistic looking scenes depicting the lead actress mounting a rotting corpse, exhuming her late boyfriend and later placing his severed head atop the torso of another male body.

When it comes to fantasy images of both ‘snuff’ and necrophilia online, one of the best known (also, in this author’s opinion, one of the highest quality) websites is www.necrobabes.com . This site is hosted by ‘Vicki’ and features photos of her suffering mock ‘deaths’ and ‘defilements’ at the hands of an ‘assailant.’ Vicki makes it clear in her online disclaimer that such images are not meant to encourage real life rape or murder.

Getting back to realistic necrophilia, in May of 1996, a group of three French teenagers entered a graveyard. One of them, a girl named Ely Dervillers, broke open a coffin by jumping on it with her boots (an unthinkable accomplishment for someone such as myself who lives in a nation where almost all caskets are made from steel). She then proceeded to push an upside down cross into the chest of the (elderly female) cadaver. Before piercing the chest, Ely fondled the breasts of the corpse. Around Halloween time of 1997, a 33 year old woman and her boyfriend were charged with stealing two skulls from the Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City, Nevada. One of the skulls was allegedly sold to another woman said to have purchased it for a Satanic ceremony.

The following paragraphs contain brief biographies of female necrophiles who I’ve been privileged to know personally as well as transcripts of e-mails sent to me by the same. It is my hope that these descriptions will give readers a further view into the psyche and emotions of those members of the fairer sex who engage in necrophilia or desire to do so.

E- Mails I would love to hear your stories I am a liscenced embalmer and can be around the dead way more than some get the chance to. I would love to hear your stories and share some of my own as you know it is quite hard to find anyone interested in the subject or if they find out they just think you belong in a nuthouse or that you are a total pervert. So we are definitly in the minority of sexual fantasys. I am 29 female from arkansas. Divorced thank goodness for that. He was a conservative christian with very little respect for anyone but his beliefs. And very closed minded to anything. I will talk to you again later. s. I'm 16 years old and I have a fetish for cadavers and morbid things. I told my psychoanist about dreams i have that i allways had about walking into a funerul home and gracefully climing into a coffin with a man i never seen befor and making love to his cold stiff body. And now their going to send me away for how long i do not know, how can i get out of this mess i put my self into? please e-mail back as soon as possible. Jenni Hello to you. My name is rebekah and I am a 23 yr old female with what I feel is a perfectly normal and healthy outlook on necrophilia. I have always been aroused by the idea of caressing, fondling and just out and out loving a body that has been possessed by only me. To know that nobody else could cherish them the way I could in their most giving time is what I would call the most perfect love of all. The few people I have stupidly confided in about this have either bombarded me with what I consider to be the most insenstive comments ever to be said, or the ask me questions that make me believe that sexual IGNORANCE can never be done away with. My all time favorites are, "EWW!!! Dead people stink! Why in the world would you want to have sex with a body ?", or "If the man is dead, how can you have sex with them ?", or "Would you do it with a woman ?" Needless to say, I have settled into the fact that the world pretty much thinks I'm a sick fuck. It really hurts to think that people are so buttoned down in the way they see "sex" that they can't understand the incredible beauty and purity that could be theirs if they just allowed it to be so. Well, I appreciate you reading this and allowing me to vent some of my feelings on this very special and important way of life, for I have nothing but the utmost respect and love for someone who can tell the world that necrophilia is not only extremely erotic, it is also (to me) the only "pure" way to show your love and respect to not only what that person once was but to what that person always will be to you: UTTERLY PERFECT in EVERY last way.

In 1993, a New Jersey teenage Satanist named Stephanie contacted yours truly and expressed (among other desires) a fantasy for consuming human meat. When I began publishing ‘The NecroErotic’ in early 1995, Stephanie was among the first people to receive an issue. Our desires in this regard turned out to be quite similar and based on these (and other) qualities, plans were made toward establishing a live-in relationship with one another. Tragically, Stephanie herself became a corpse during the Fall of 1995, the victim of a high speed automobile accident.

Around the time of Stephanie’s death, a young woman from Tennessee by the name of Kristy began writing to me. As was the case with Stephanie, our written correspondence soon was expanded to include phone calls and plans for a meeting. While Stephanie’s fantasies mainly involved elements of domination, desecration and sadism, Kristy’s thoughts centered more around submission and being a ‘server’ of sorts towards a dominant partner. She once stated that the thought of someone using her cadaver for postmortem sex gave her a sense of arousal. Regrettably, she was to realize at least part of this goal prematurely: In the early Spring of 1997, Kristy passed on just days after her 22nd birthday after a bout with severe pneumonia.

In the mid-1990’s, a correspondence between me and a self proclaimed mortuary manager in California (we’ll call her ‘Marion’ for the purposes of this article) was initiated by her. I was never able to ascertain whether or not the statements she made concerning her employment and/or the resulting necrophilic activities were true, however the fact that she and I traded corpse photos and discussed necrophilia confirmed her interest in this subject.

By far, the most sincere female necrophile that I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing is a woman I have traditionally referred to as ‘Fraulein Liebe Leiche.’ A German by birth, Fraulein and yours truly have teamed up on two separate cemetery excursions. For obvious reasons, details given here must be somewhat limited. The first encounter took place on our first night together. She and I jumped the fence at an overseas cemetery and managed to partially excavate a wooden coffin. The cemetery was located just off of a main road, hence we had to be careful not to make any excessive noise. Unfortunately, this restriction prevented us from opening the casket, although we did manage to obtain some bone fragments from that same cemetery. Our second rendezvous (at a different cemetery) involved Fraulein keeping watch while I and another friend took custody of an urn. We later divided up portions of the cremated remains between ourselves. Fraulein also accompanied me on a 2000 visit to the grave of necrophilic hero and pioneer Edward Theodore Gein in Plainfield, Wisconsin, and her bedroom shelf contains a prominently displayed human skull (which was obtained as a medical specimen.) As one necrophile speaking of another, I can sincerely state that she has become a major part of my life and I have the highest regard for her. I welcome an open dialogue with any and all female necrophiles in the world today. Rest assured that I will NEVER pass your name, address or any identifiable information on to anyone without your permission.

*Based on my own research into this matter, I've arrived at the admittedly unscientific estimation that 1% of the total world population practices either actual necrophilia, pseudo-necrophilia (i.e. role playing with a live partner or mannequin) or would be open to such practices if the proper scenario was presented to them.

A Necrophilic Funeral

A Necrophilic Funeral

By MichiganGhoul, the Minister of Necrophilia

Regular readers know that I have little tolerance for right hand path/mainstream 'spiritualism', 'supernatural' beliefs, and so forth. Secular ceremonies performed by individuals or groups (wherein a person or people concentrate his/her/their energy toward a singular goal) however, can be and often are useful tools. A stimulated human mind is the most powerful entity on earth, and psychodrama (i.e., "directed acting", if you will) can inspire, arouse, excite or console the participant(s). As Cedric Mims said in his recent book, 'When We Die': "The need for simple ceremonies and remembrances will remain, because this is a cornerstone of human nature and is independent of belief in an afterlife." In a related vein, the late Anton LaVey, writing in his notorious 'Satanic Bible', had this to say about the value of ceremony: "The formalized begining and end of the ceremony acts as a dogmatic, anti-intellectual device, the purpose of which is to disassociate the activities and frame of reference of the outside world from that of the ritual chamber, where the whole will must be employed." (page 120)

The following funeral ritual is secular in nature and geared toward the disposal of the remains of someone who in life was a necrophile. In this scenario, it is assumed that the body has been cremated and the ashes obtained by the next of kin.

This ritual should ideally take place at night under a full moon, with the participant(s) standing atop a hill. Alternately, it may be performed in a vast, open field. If waiting until a clear, full moon is not practical, a strong artificial light (such as a large flashlight) may be substituted. Predominantly black clothing should be worn, although any adornments desired may also be worn. Items needed for this ritual: A cloth or paper banner of the symbol of necrophilia A cassette/compact disc player.

A cassette/cd containing the music that most intensely stirs one's emotions in relation to memories of the deceased. (This can, in theory, be any brand of music, although bombastic Classical symphony music would be ideal. Some suggestions would be the finale from the '1812 Overture', 'In the Hall of the Mountain King', or 'Danse Macabre') A favored beverage (and as many individual containers as there are participants) A photo (or sketch) of the deceased. The light (if necessary) is turned on, the banner is placed within view of all present with the deceased's photo being placed in the immediate foreground. The music is then cued)

The participant(s) take a pinch of the remains and deposit them into their cups. The celebrant then speaks these words: "(Name of the deceased) has ceased to exist as a person. As a fitting tribute to his/her memory, I/we hereby consume a portion of his/her remains. (All participants then raise their containers in a toast and drink the entire contents) At this point, testimonies relating to the deceased may be spoken aloud or simply contemplated. After each person has had a chance to say his/her piece, the celebrant continues: "While we miss the presence of our fallen (friend/Comrade/companion/lover/any other suitable word used to describe the deceased) we also realize that a corpse has no value and no 'rights.' As the divine Marquis de Sade wrote in his monumental work, 'Juliette': "We are naught but an amalgam of mere material elements....once smitten by death, our dissolution is complete....respect shown to bits of decomposed matter would appear such palpable nonsense that nobody would think to espouse it. But our pride is loath to acknowledge this certitude of no longer existing; instead, we prefer to believe that the shades of the departed, yet hovering around his corpse, expect consideration to be shown to this derelict; one dreads offending them, and thus, without realizing it, one slips into the worst impiety and the most entire absurdity. So let us make thoroughly our own the doctrine that once we are dead, absolutely nothing of us exists anymore, and that this mortal coil we leave on earth is nothing else than what our excrements were, when we dropped them at the foot of a tree in those days when we were alive. Well penetrated by this system, we would sense that to a cadaver neither honor nor concern nor duties are owing; that the only treatment it merits, far less for its sake than for ours, is burial, incineration, or to be fed to scavengers."

So saying, the celebrant withdraws a handful of human ash and, facing the North, tosses it freely. He/she continues, turning to the East, South and West, tossing a handful of ash at each turn until the vessel is empty. The participant(s) then face the necrophilic banner, right arms/fingers extended outward in a 90 degree angle salute. The celebrant then speaks these words: "Viva Necrophilia! Hail Sergeant Bertrand! Hail Ed Gein! " (any participants repeat the phrases immediately after the celebrant has spoken them) As the participant(s) lower his/her/their arms, the word "Farewell" is softly spoken. The props are then gathered and the participant(s) leave(s) the area and the now meaningless remains of the deceased behind him/her/ them.

Our Founding Influences

Necrophilia has no doubt been around since the days of prehistoric tribes; consequently, any attempt at listing ALL necrophiles throughout history would be as futile as trying to name all physicians, all lawyers, etc. The following names represent the most influential persons to have been involved in the practice of necrophilia in the past two centuries. Although none of them have ever played any kind of direct role concerning the publication, distribution or concept of 'The NecroErotic' (in fact, with the exception of Karen Greenlee, all are deceased as of 1998), their actions are at least in part responsible for the writings which flow from this computer. In essence, then, they are the (unwitting) founders of my necrophilia 'outreach' program.

Sergeant Francois Bertrand

Sergeant Bertrand was born in either 1822 or 1824 (written history is unclear on this point) in the country of France. Details on his early life are very sketchy, as far as English language literature is concerned. According to the encyclopedia 'Crime and Society' (under the 'Vampires' heading), he was a sadistic man when it came to animals, and had developed a habit of dissecting dead cats and dogs in his young days. However, the "Man, Myth and Magic" encyclopedia states emphatically that he 'loved animals.' As a platonic lover of animals myself, I'd like to think that the latter represents the truth in this regard. In any case, both sources agree that the Sergeant was quite the 'ladies man', and was in the habit of minding his manners around living members of the fairer sex. Unfortunately, sketches/paintings of Bertrand are next to impossible to obtain in the 20th Century United States (if indeed they exist at all), but "Crime and Society" describes him as being "...an attractive man."

Early in his adolescence, Bertrand began having violent rape and torture fantasies involving young females. Around 1849, the Sergeant began practicing necrophilia on recently buried corpses in Pere Lachaise (a cemetery generally reserved for the rich), then at a working class cemetery near Paris, rounding out his career by exhuming/fornicating with/disemboweling corpses at the Montparnasse necropolis. Starting out by merely having sex with recently interred cadavers, Bertrand's actions became increasingly brutal as time passed. Although he flatly denied engaging in cannibalism per se (the charge was also dropped at his military trial during the Summer of 1849.), history records that some of the corpses had been gnawed upon. Sergeant Bertrand's digging style is a story in and of itself.

He is said to have used no tools whatsoever; all digging was done with his bare hands, which, of course, were torn and bloody by the time he reached his desired goal. Many of his conquests were buried without coffins, which made his task a bit easier. Bertrand claimed to feel no pain during the course of his night time work, and once went to the extreme of swimming across a lake in the dead of Winter to reach the cemetery grounds. One of his necro-dates was a 7 year old girl, so indeed, he was a man who had no taboos when it came to enjoying the 'young stuff.'

When Sergeant Bertrand was eventually captured (as a result of being wounded by a police bullet in Montparnasse Cemetery) during a stay at a military hospital, he offered no denials but is rather said to have boasted of his deeds to the police investigators. As no one was physically harmed by his actions, Bertrand was sentenced to one year in jail. It was said that the Sergeant claimed to be "frightened of death now" after being convicted, but if he did indeed make this statement, it was no doubt merely to avoid the possible risk of a longer prison term. After his release, Bertrand vanished into the pages of history, leaving his pioneering legacy behind for those who dare to dream, for those who dare to follow... Hail Sergeant Francois Bertrand for being the first to essentially 'introduce' the world to this beautifully morbid form of sexual ecstasy!

Ed Gein

It has been said that a genius is never appreciated in his own age. Christopher Columbus was presumed mad by many of the 'intellectuals' of his day who clung to the belief that the earth was flat. The Italian astronomer, Galilei Galileo (1564-1642) was condemned by Pope Paul V for proposing the then 'heretical' idea that the earth revolved around the sun. Similarly, Ed Gein's experiments and companionship with the dead caused him much grief in comparitively recent times. However, I have no doubt that much like the inventors and innovators of the past, Gein will one day be remembered in a much more benevolent light.

Edward Theodore Gein was born into a matriarchal/dysfunctional family on August 27, 1906. Ed's brother Henry died under suspicious circumstances during a marsh lands fire on May 16, 1944, their father having died in April of 1940. Gein's last surviving relative, his domineering mother, died on December 29, 1945. It was alleged by some that Ed's only pre-1957 journey outside of his county was for an army eligibility inspection. Ironically, Ed Gein's car later toured much of the country as part of a side show exhibit. For the most part, the first 40 or so years of Gein's life were unremarkable, hence the quick glossing over on these pages. What happened during his final years of freedom in the tiny town of Plainfield, Wisconsin (population 700 at the time) however, is a topic of interest to all necrophiles.

In November of 1957, Gein was arrested on suspicion of robbery charges relating to a theft at Worden's Hardware store in Plainfield. Upon searching his shed, police found the gutted body of the store's proprietor, 58 year old Bernice Worden, hanging upside down. Her pussy and anus had been carved out, according to the coroner's report. The corpse had also been decapitated, and the entire body was scrubbed clean. This style of treatment was consistent with the manner in which deer were often strung up after a successful hunt. When investigators searched Gein's home, they discovered, among other delightful objects, human skulls atop Gein's bed posts, scalps, breasts, skinned human face masks, a human heart in a sauce pan, a belt made with human nipples, eviscerated pussies painted silver and gold, leg bones, a box containing four human noses, and a wastebasket, a knife sheath, some lamp shades, bracelets and a tom-tom drum, all made from dead human skin. In addition to this, four chairs were found upholstered with human flesh, and a skeleton was exhumed on Gein's property by sheriff's deputies several days later. Amusingly, Gein was known for giving 'venison' to several of his neighbors in the years proceeding his arrest. It wasn't until after being taken into custody that he admitted that he never shot a deer in his life. One can only guess where the meat was obtained.......

Ed Gein was only convicted of one murder, that of Bernice Worden, although he later confessed to killing fellow Plainfield resident Mary Hogan. Most of the flesh and bones that were used came from the grave pilfering Gein performed during the night at three local cemeteries. Although local lawmen at first doubted Ed Gein's grave robbery claims, the subsequent exhumations of two of those graves proved his statements to be true. In the first instance, the entire corpse had been removed. In the second grave, only bone fragments remained. Perhaps most erotically of all, Gein told police personnel that he had worn some of the skin outfits while digging up still other graves during his self-styled necro-career. By his own estimate, Ed Gein had unearthed at least nine graves in his lifetime. On March 20, 1958, Ed's farmhouse was burned to the ground by arsonists who remain unidentified to this day. When told of the incident, Ed's only words were said to have been, "Just as well." In During that same year, Ed Gein was found insane and therefore 'incompetent' to stand trial.

Although clearly a necrophiliac in orientation, the question of whether or not Gein had actual sex with the cadavers remains something of a mystery. According to some reports, he claimed to have not had sex with any of the bodies because, in his (alleged) words: "They smelled bad." Other sources state that he admitted to having intercourse with the corpses. We will, of course, never know for sure whether he 'did it' or not. For my part, however, I find it difficult to believe that he abstained from sex with the cadavers because of the smell when that same odor did not dissuade him from wearing their skins on his face and body.

On November 14, 1968, Gein was paradoxically found both guilty of the murder of Bernice Worden and insane, therefore NOT technically responsible for the killing. He was never again a free man, confined for the rest of his life to various institutions for the criminally insane. Ed Gein died from complications on July 26, 1984 while living in a Madison, Wisconsin asylum.

It cannot be emphasized strongly enough that the reason for my praise of Ed Gein is NOT because he was a killer or because I have some 'twisted desire to worship evil' or any such nonsense. Ed was a genius among men and one of the greatest human beings to walk the earth because he (consciously or instinctively) taught the world the benefits of necrophilia. For more information on this subject please refer to the articles 'Viva Necrophilia!' and 'A Necrophilic Solution To A Sexual Dilemma In Society' elsewhere on this site.

If and when sexual unions between the living and the dead are fully legalized, the world will have great men like Ed Gein to thank for taking humanity collectively by the hand and guiding us to necroerotic bliss. Hail Ed Gein!

Count Karl Tanzler Von Cosel

Karl Von Cosel, a German veteran of WWI, moved to the U.S. during or around 1930, at which time he was already past sixty years of age. Within a year, of arriving on these shores, Von Cosel met Elena Hoyos Mesa, a young (White) Cuban woman who became a patient at the hospital where he worked. On October 25, 1931, Elena passed away from tuberculosis, leaving Von Cosel devastated. (astute readers will notice that her death preceeded the passing of my beloved Stephanie by exactly 64 years.) After two year's time, the ambitious Count recovered Elena's corpse (from a mausoleum he himself had built for her) and brought it back to his "shack on the beach." (as an article on his life published in the Journal of the Florida Medical Association, Vol. 63, August, 1976 describes his humble abode) In October of 1940, following a cruel and needless police raid on Von Cosel's residence, Elena's reconstructed corpse was found. Her "....face, breasts, arms, legs, trunk and vaginal tube" had been rebuilt, according to the Journal article. The Count was sent to jail, but was released soon thereafter, thanks to the Florida statute of limitations on the 'crime' of grave robbery. Elena's remains were buried secretly in a metal cube and Von Cosel never again got to see his necromatic bride. Count Von Cosel Left Key West for Zephyr Hills, Fl. soon after losing his beloved to the hands of the injustice system, and an explosion was said to have occurred at Elena's orighinal resting place after his departure. When the elderely Count died in August of 1952, a life size wax statue of Elena sat in a corner of his residence as a silent honor guard over his remains. (Note: For more information on this remarkable man, I would recommend the book, "Undying Love." Although not pro-necrophile, it does contain some interesting details on his life.)

Jeff Dahmer

Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer was born on May 21, 1960. A chronic alcoholic and army veteran, Jeff had a life long affinity for heavy metal/rock music. His first murder (that of 19 year old hitchhiker Steven Hicks) took place either in June or October of 1978 (Jeff is said to have given contradictory confessions in this regard).

Following his arrest during the night of July 22, 1991, police discovered various human remains including 4 heads in two separate freezers, additional heads/skulls in two closets and a file cabinet, torsos in 55 gallon drums, frozen internal organs and male genitalia. At least 3 of the skulls had been painted and one of the frozen heads was taken to Jeff's place of employment (a chocolate factory) on at least one occasion. The total victim count (upon conviction) was 17.

Although J.D. avoided grave robbery altogether (had he pursued this route, he would only have been increasing his chances of getting apprehended even sooner), he nonetheless wandered down a few delightful necroerotic paths of his own design. Consider not only his practice of keeping the body parts/bones of past victims around his apartment, but also his habit of photographing the corpse in various stages of dismemberment. Even more thrilling was his ritual of reassembling the body parts and skulls with parts of other cadavers in a kind of necrophilic jigsaw puzzle. Add to this his idea (which was unfortunately never realized) of building a kind of 'memory lane' display in his own apartment of skulls, preserved genitalia, and other body parts which was to serve as a grand meditation area for him, and we see that Jeff Dahmer had a mind that went far beyond the intelligence limits of the 'average criminal.' Yes readers, in spite of his inexcusable killings, Jeff Dahmer was indeed a man worthy of respect from all those who consider themselves necrophiliacs. Thanks for the beautifully ghoulish ideas and memories, Jeff! Your ways and deeds won't be forgotten!.

Henri Blot and Viktor Ardisson

(Note: Both of these men were unquestionably two of the finest necrophiles ever! As with Sergeant Bertrand, both also lived in 19th century France. Sadly, English language literature is somewhat barren when it comes to material on either one of these fine chaps. What follows has been gleaned from the books 'Deviant' (about the life of Ed Gein), 'Sadism and Masochism' as well as snippets of information obtained from various 'vampire' encyclopedias and crime books in the reference sections at local libraries.)

The Saint-Ouen graveyard in France during the year of 1886. This was the time and place where then-26 year old Henri Blot made history by exhuming and fornicating with the cadaver of a recently buried ballerina. After the act was finished, Blot lapsed into a deep sleep that was only interrupted when the cemetery's groundskeeper physically shook him awake. (Henri was still in the grave next to the erotically exposed remains of his dead sex partner) History records that H.B. exhumed and penetrated two corpses at this same burial ground, but no details could be found on the previous episode. Henri Blot was brought to trial for his so called 'crime', but is said to have shown no shame or fear in the court room. His statement to the necrophobic judge is no doubt the most famous necrophilic quote ever: "How would you have it ? Every man to his own tastes. Mine is for corpses!" Bravo Henri!

Material on the necrophilic hero known as Viktor Antoine Ardisson is slightly more abundant but by no means complete. Virtually all of the crime and psychiatric/psychology journals record the same scant facts of his life. Born in the year 1872, Viktor admitted to having a urine fetish during his younger years: He claimed to have enjoyed licking urine droplets from the toilet seats after his female classmates would use the facilities. He also insisted that episodic sexual encounters took place between he and his mother. During a stint in the French army that began in 1893, Viktor had an erotic affair with a female described as being "plump" and "well built." During his adult years, V.A. made extra money providing men in town with oral sex. His diet, which was limited by his lower working class income, consisted of garlic, cucumbers, radishes, grass, rats and cats.

V.A. began exhuming graves around age 19. Both prior to and after his military enlistment, he took on the job of grave digger in his tiny town. According to some estimates, V.A. may have had sex with over 100 corpses, making him quite possibly history's most 'busy' necrophile, at least when considering those cases which have come to light. According to his own confessions, Viktor regularly spoke to his cadaverous lovers, feeling genuine shock and hurt when they would not respond. At 28 years of age, police raided his home (after a tip from suspicious neighbors) and found the decaying cadaver of a three and a half year old girl whom Ardisson had stolen from a local graveyard sometime earlier. Until her corpse had putrefied to a dangerously contaminated state, Ardisson would perform oral sex on it with the hope that a physical resurrection would result. (One may safely assume that a physical erection did indeed take place!) V.A. also exhumed (and retained for many years) the head of a 13 year old girl. This girl's head served as his bed mate throughout his ownership of it, and was often referred to by Viktor as, "my little bride." Posthumous thanks for the lovely thoughts, Vik!

Karen Greenlee

With the help of a friend, your author attempted to contact Ms. Greenlee through the Westgate organization. By their own admission (and to Karen's credit), she had no current affiliation with their necrophony institute; however, they assured my friend that they could forward a letter to her. K.G. never got back to us, meaning: 1. The slime at Westgate opened the letter and, upon finding out this writer was involved, destroyed it (this was most likely what had happened), 2. Ms. Greenlee got the letter, felt it was a hoax and ignored it, or 3. Karen no longer considers herself a necrophiliac and does not wish to be involved in any type of scene along those lines (although this is highly unlikely.)

In any case, Karen Greenlee is perhaps the third most famous necrophile of the 20th century.

Anatomy of a Sexual Psychosis, (or, why I do what I do)

Anatomy of a Sexual Psychosis,
(or, why I do what I do)

By MichiganGhoul, the Minister of Necrophilia

There are surely those who, when seeing a copy of 'The NecroErotic' for the first time, not only express their shock, dismay and disgust at the contents (being the 'straight' , unimaginative souls that most folks in society are) , but wonder why in the HELL someone would bother putting out a 'zine of this sort. One can just imagine some 'rational' carbon producing unit chattering away with their peers at the local college coffee house (over the latest $3.00 a cup cappuccino blend, no less...) after being given a copy of this publication by a friend of a friend. "OK, I understand that some people have desires that don't quite jibe with even the 'kinky' elements of society", the quasi-intellectual, trust fund liberal youngster whines, "But why would someone put their NAME on something like this and risk being put on a kind of 'watch list' that the feds keep on suspected perverts and general loose cannons. Why can't this guy just keep his urges to himself, exchange stories and death scene pictures with a few close friends, and let it go at that ? Why even BOTHER putting yourself in an unwelcome spotlight like this ?" Why indeed, dear reader ? Perhaps even some of you who are supportive to my mission have asked yourself this question in one form or another. What follows is my reply as best as I can put it into words.

Beyond any doubt, one of the primary reasons I publish 'The NecroErotic' is to 'flush out' someone within the funeral home business (or a related field, such as a hospital orderly or morgue attendant.) who can help me attain my goal of having full sexual intercourse with a cadaver. For reasons that should be obvious to even the dullest of minds, I'm not about to approach a worker at one of the wakes I personally attend to ask for such 'favors'. In any case, such a person would have no reason to trust me if I simply walked in off the street and asked a question of that nature. However, if a sympathetic soul in a position to help should happen to obtain and read a copy of this publication, they then would be much more assured of my sincerity and devotion to the subject.

Along with the above stated reason as to why this 'zine exists is the fact that I enjoy making friends with like minded persons/perverts. There is nothing complex or 'deep' about this motivation; everyone likes hearing from those who think and act as they do, and your humble editor/publisher is no exception to this rule.

Yet another aspect that motivates me is knowing that the truths spoken herein simply need to be stated. Putting false modesty aside, I'm currently the only person in the world who is willing and able to proclaim that which needs to be spoken, ideas which people all over the globe need to hear. Call it a 'messianic complex' if you wish, but where else are such 'radical' (yet painfully obvious) ideas discussed in such great detail as in the pages of 'The NecroErotic' ? Articles such as "How Legalized Necrophilia Can Solve Society's Problems" (see issue #1; this article has since been slightly revised and re-titled "Viva Necrophilia!") , "Ed Gein: A Man Ahead Of His Time" (issue #3), "A Guide To Tactful Funeral Home Visits" (issue #5), "Do You Consider This 'Normal' "( issue #6) , "A Necrophilic Solution To A Sexual Dilema In Society" ( issue #7) and biographies of famous/infamous necrophiliacs in history (see issues #1, 3 and 7) can be found nowhere else, and to pretend otherwise is ridiculous. A person who would flip through this or any other issue and see only 'porn', shock value or tasteless humor has missed the point entirely. Yes, such traits DO constitute part of what this publication is all about, but behind it all is a message, and that message is there for those who wish to give it a serious read.

Finally, if none of these reasons sound convincing to you, ponder this for a moment: Does the 'other side' (i.e., the various moralists who wish to do away with everything from pornography and prostitution right down to sex education in the schools and rock and roll) 'keep quiet' ? Do all of the various church leaders, government officials, media personalities, Internet watchdog groups and various 'children's advocates' ever shut up when it comes to their campaigns against whatever bugaboo is up their ass that particular week ? I think you know the answer to that question, so I'll say no more on this point.

Dear readers (friend and foe alike), as long as I sense a continued interest by people out there (however few) for this type of information, and in so far as I possibly can carry on with this mission, 'The NecroErotic' will continue to be a voice for those of us who are unashamed to admit to being sexually aroused by cadavers. If you're a friend, take that as a promise; if you are a foe reading this, feel free to consider it a threat.

Necrophilic Principles

Necrophilic Principles

1. Wherever they may reside, necrophiliacs have as much right to engage in their orgasmic release of choice as do "normal" couples. When necessary, this extends to corpse theft from morgues, mortuaries, hospitals and graveyards. With such actions being classified as a felony in many areas, however, this statement is not meant to encourage the reader to take careless risks. This is a theoretical principle, not an explicitly practical one. Also, the use of open murder to produce corpses is not advocated for obvious reasons.

2. All 'rights' cease the moment a person draws their last breath. Therefore, any and all deeds performed on a cadaver, including erotic acts, dismemberment/disembowelment and cannibalism are to be considered, at worst, destruction of physical matter.

3. The meaning of our logo is as follows: The inverted heart symbolizes an overturning of traditional concepts of eroticism. The inner symbol is a combination of both the life and death runes. This stands for a joining between the living and the dead, specifically a physical pairing. As for the colors in our symbol, the black symbolizes the darkness (both real and perceived) of our desires. The green represents the lush and inviting lawn of a graveyard.

4. Hail our predecessors: Sergeant Francois Bertrand, Edward Theodore Gein, Henri Blot, Victor Ardisson, Count Karl Tanzler Von Cosel, Karen Greenlee and Jeffrey Dahmer! Although none of them consciously contributed to this manifesto, their actions helped to inspire it. Therefore they are, in effect , our founders and we their heirs.

5. The widespread practice and acceptance of necrophilia, although at best a slim possibility for the distant future, would aid society in several very important ways. (See related document 'Viva Necrophilia!' for specifics on this point.)

6. Necrophobia (which for our purposes may be defined as irrational hate and persecution directed at necrophiliacs) must be spoken out against at every turn. Whether uttered or printed by law enforcement, ignorant lay people, anti-eroticism special interest groups or 'necrophonies' (hypocrites who pretend to be necrophiliacs or necrophile-friendly while stabbing us in the back) , THEIR lies and false platitudes must be countered by OUR facts and logic!

7. Attendance at funeral home wakes during visiting hours is strongly encouraged as a legal and relatively 'anonymous' outlet for necrophiliacs. (See 'A Guide To Tactful Funeral Home Visits' in issue #5 of 'The NecroErotic' for hints and tips.)

8. Necrophilia being a purely physical act of erotic release, a necrophile need not participate in or abstain from any set of religious/spiritual/supernatural beliefs. However, a special hand of friendship is extended to many of those who define themselves as Satanists or Devil Worshipers.

9. Since necrophiliacs are generally a loathed and misunderstood group, we have no desire to condemn or oppress any other fetish or the participants therein on 'moral' grounds without scientific proof of the alleged flaws of said practice. Erotic interests and actions we should refrain from condemning (even if one does not wish to personally participate in them) include: Group sex, scatology/watersports, amputee fetishes, cross dressing, consensual pedophilia, bestiality (so long as the animal is not forced or harmed), 'snuff' fantasy writings, role playing, sado-masochism, sex with dwarves, solo sex, exhibitionism, voyeurism and bondage.

Ghoulish Introspection

Ghoulish Introspection
by MichiganGhoul, the Minister Of Necrophilia

Earlier this year, Randall Phillip (esteemed editor of 'Fuck' magazine) suggested I write an article detailing my own erotic motivations and how they began to take root in my psyche. In this combination mini-autobiography/self-psychoanalysis, I'll attempt to give all interested parties a glimpse into the mind behind 'The NecroErotic' newsletter.

Although I did not become a self aware necrophile until around 1994, the gradual process toward self realization actually began during my pre-school years. A family friend of ours was (and still is at the time of this writing) a successful local mortician, and during my infancy/early childhood, my folks and I visited him at the parlor from time to time. Although I don't personally recall doing so, my mom has told me that during these visits, I would sometimes wander over to the empty caskets on display and touch them. Undoubtedly, I had no real knowledge of what a casket was at the time, and yet these 'death boxes' were the subject of a deep childhood interest for me.

Around age five or so, I began playing with monster action figures, my favorites of which were the 'undead' ones (Dracula, The Mummy, Frankenstein and so forth) Also, I distinctly recall convincing my dad to paint a toy ambulance of mine black, so as to make it a hearse (toy hearses are almost impossible to find, by the by...) Consistant with these interests, I was an avid reader of horror comics (and, truth be told, I enjoy them to this day.) Yet another peculiarity of my childhood that I've since come to realize ties in loosely with my sexuality is my then as well as current fascination with wrecked cars and abandoned buildings. My father always knew he could make his little son happy by taking me to look at vandalized/burned out homes or destroyed automobiles at the junkyard. Laugh if you wish, but considering that my dad and I were not on the best of terms during my teens/early adulthood, I now cherish these memories of so long ago no matter HOW 'silly' they may seem from an objective point of view). The connection between corpses and wrecks/abandoned buildings is so obvious, the reader may be excused for missing it at first. Consider: All of the above mentioned items are, in one sense or another, DEAD.

Admittedly, any one or two of these factors, may not seem like much of anything, but taken as a whole, I truly believe they were early indicators of my eventual orientation.

At age eleven, I first learned what sex really was from a chat with an older cousin. I can remember having vivid sexual and exhibitionist fantasies around this time, and from roughly my elevenenth to fourteenth years, I engaged in flashing at passing cars (from my bedroom window), urine/feces tasting (both my own, although years later I tasted the wastes of various females), shitting in strange places, shoplifting, obscene phone calls, petty vandalism and some minor sex play (fondling) with girls my age and younger, some of which was not entirely consensual. Around age twelve, I first saw the word 'necrophilia' in an issue of Fangoria magzine. I asked my mother what it meant and got the answer "Having sex with dead people." (along with a strange look from mom) I was at once both fascinated and repelled. In fact, I seem to even remember having a vague fear that I would one day have such urges myself. I've since come to believe that this fear was in reality one of the last lines of defense my 'normal' self would offer in attempting to stifle my true identity.

Ironically enough for someone whose childhood was so unusual by some standards and whose adult life has thus far been an adventure to say the least, my mid-late teen years were mostly uneventful and dull. Due to a combination of overprotective parents, nerdy looks and a 'fuck the world'/introverted attitude, I had virtually no social life from about age 15-20; my only companions 99% of the time were my records, tapes, books and (sometimes) cigarettes.

From age twenty onward (the year my dad passed away, as well as the year I at long last lost my virginity), life became a merry go round of drinking binges, pot smoking, one night stands, auto accidents, minor scrapes with the law, prostitutes and all night outings I cannot fully recall to this day. Sometime around the middle of 1993, I began getting responses to a personal ad I had running in Metal Edge magazine. One of them was from a fifteen-going on sixteen year old Satanist in New Jersey named Stephanie Sapkowski (although she claimed to be all of seventeen years old in her initial letter). We both had the same musical tastes and interests, and by 1994, when our necrophilic awakenings were at last in full bloom, our emerging feelings of self awareness grew at much the same pace. She was one of the first supporters of this publication when it debuted in early 1995, sharing with me the blood soaked fantasy writings that got her transfered to a school for 'problem' teens after a snooping teacher read her notes. Tragically, Steph was killed in an auto wreck at age 18 on October 25, 1995. Although I've had around 88 sex partners in life ( Most of those gals were hookers and/or heroin addicts), the long distance bond I had with Steph was the only true 'relationship' I had had up to that point, and her death left me devastated and downright suicidal for some time afterward. Still, we all need to move on after life's tragedies, and this is what I've done.

I won't attempt to pass myself off as an experienced necrophile; truth be told, I've yet to have sex with a corpse. This, however, does nothing to change my orientation. An adult who is sexually attracted to young children is still a pedophile whether or not he ever fulfills his fantasies, and a person who is exclusively aroused by members of his or her own sex is still a homosexual no matter what their actions may or may not be. In this same way,, my erotic attraction to cadavers makes me a necrophiliac. Graves (at least in my area) would be difficult if not impossible to rob without the use of heavy machinery thanks to modern day vaults, and funeral directors, morgue employees and graveyard workers certainly cannot be expected to volunteer their services to a complete stranger. Be that as it may, I THINK I've worked out a plan to have necrophilic sex without committing any felonies (necrophilia per se is not a felony in Michigan at this time) and with only a relatively minor risk of being caught in the act. Still, circumstances need to be just right, so I'm not holding my breath.

The feel of dead skin (I've been fortunate enough to sneak 'feels' on a few corpses at some of the 50 or so wakes I've attended with this purpose in mind since about late 1994) is indescribably erotic. Those of you who have had this experience will understand, and attempting to convey these feelings on paper to those who haven't is somewhat akin to describing a rainbow to a blind person. Simply put, it's something you NEED to and SHOULD feel for yourself! Suffice to say that if physical, flesh to flesh contact with the guest of honor at a funeral home combined with the distinct mortuary odor (floral and death scents), the sight of the occupant in her/his casket and the sounds of slow, sad dirges all put together don't arouse you, the object in the box may not be the only 'dead thing' in the room!

Allies have referred to me as an above average author bringing a message ahead of its time, whereas to foes and the 'general public' I'm everything from an inconsequential gadfly to a dangerously unbalanced potential threat. There are, of course, grains of truth in all of these assessments. Being a 5'7" tall customer support representative certainly would make me 'inconsequential' in the eyes of the rich snobs of the world, whereas being the first person EVER to publicly advocate the legalization (where needed) and the practice (when possible) of necrophilia necessarily makes me a pioneer and a threat, however small, to the puritans of today.

As it stands, my mission in all of this (besides obtaining sex with a corpse for my own personal gratification) is to maintain and propagate the history and lessons of our necrophilic founders and heroes as well as to reach out to and establish networks with necrophiliacs and supporters the world over.
